As we kick off the sunshine season, we are diving into our studio-wide focus on length, lines, and active extension. June is Flexibility Month at CED! Explore the boundaries of your range strength-backed active mobility in many of our classes, you and a friend can learn how to stretch each other, drop in for hypnotic guest workshops with Taylor, or lock in your spot for our upcoming mini photoshoot. Check out our latest classes and sexual wellness offerings to discover how deep your movement can go this month.

June is officially Flexibility Month at CED! Over the next four weeks, many classes in our weekly schedule will incorporate elements of flexibility: whether you are chasing your flat splits, softening your spine for backbends and arches, or opening your shoulders for an overhead reach on the pole.
At CED, we train flexibility smart: pairing deep stretches with targeted strength. When you combine strength and stretch you get smooth, and functional mobility. Strong muscles move safer and better through their full ranges of motion, whereas trying to force a shape without the structural strength to hold it puts you at risk for strains and injury.
The strength game is a long-term journey. So while you are putting in the work to build that true end-range strength, our instructors will also be sharing favorite technique hacks and clever illusions to make your pole work appear far more flexy than you actually are right now!

Intro to Assisted Stretching

Saturday, June 20th

This class is for anyone who would like to gently increase their own mobility, and also help another do the same.
Students will be guided through a whole body stretch routine and learn basic stretches and practice giving and receiving them in class. Accommodations can be made for difficulties with certain stretches or positions.
Bring a partner to work with, or be willing to work on another person and be worked on in turn.
HIIT for Mobility & Flexibility
Tuesday, June 23rd

This class will teach you a circuit workout that will help you build mobility movement patterns while working on active flexibility..
We’ll give exercises and modifications based on ability, and will use our breath to move us through a complete core workout.
All moves can be modified to your fitness level, but be prepared to sweat and work hard.

Taylor is a dynamic and passionate pole artist with 6+ years of experience and 3+ years of teaching. Known for her ability to embody any style she takes on, Taylor is particularly recognized for her high energy movement, musicality, and unmatched stage presence. Whether she is executing hard style, hip-hop inspired movement or flowing through smooth, sensual transitions, she seamlessly shifts between a menace and a muse, infusing each movement with emotion.
Taylor creates a space for dancers to explore the full range of their expression and embodiment, all while staying connected to the music and the moment. She is passionate about sharing her craft, with a strong focus on refining technique, developing skill, and empowering dancers to embrace their creativity.
Dark Hypno Flow

Intro to Hypnotic Drip

This class works through a variety of sequences, giving dancers a taste of hardstyle, flow, hip-hop, and dark hypno, while playing with different music styles and textures. Expect to move through both dynamic moments and smooth, fluid transitions—all with a focus on musicality, coordination, and technique.
(Beginners+ who are experienced with basic hand placements, pirouettes, and foundational pole movements, and some heels.)

Beyond the Movement: Sexual Wellness Classes
Our sensual, erotic, and sexual health directly impacts how we move in the world and how we take up space. These class offerings create a space to decenter the external gaze and the performative pressures that so often dictate how we show up. Additionally, we are creating a safe space for conversations about things we “aren’t supposed to” talk about. Sex Ed is severely lacking among all age groups. Pride & Pleasure is here to give you the resources you might be missing, the space to talk about it, and way to bring more joy and healing to your life.

Intro to Chair Dance

Build a solid foundation in chair dance! By the end of this specialty class you will feel comfortable in a variety of sexy posed chair positions, and will have learned how to connect them in different ways. You can then take this to add a new layer to a private dance, to use in burlesque, or a good foundation to more acrobatic chair skills in the future.
Burlesque 101
Thursdays, June 18th – July 23rd

Learn the building block movements of classic burlesque. We will cover bumps and grinds, dips and shimmies, walks and poses, peels and combos! From day one, we will go over how to string classic moves together to create simple and sexy burlesque combos. Students will also learn the art of the tease, and how to elevate the dance through audience engagement, self-touch, and musicality.
This class is a 101 for all levels; whether you are brand new to burlesque or looking to brush up on technique and learn some tips and tricks, all are welcome!


Lyra Playspace

Lyra Playspace is an intentional container for lyra students to invest in curiosity. Unlike a traditional class, there will not be a set lesson plan – students are instead encouraged to come to class with personal goals in mind, and the instructor will be there to support, offer assistance, and share feedback as desired.

Belly Dance 101

Your starting point into the world of belly dance taught from a Fat Chance Fusion standpoint with some Cabaret style. During the 6 weeks you will learn all base belly dance movements, and finish the session with a mini dance!
Belly Dance 101 is created to give brand new students a solid foundation to continue on in our weekly belly dance class. Students wishing to review basics are also welcome. This is a 6 week semester course. Please contact us before you register if you can’t make it to all six weeks.
Grind & Shine: Feel Good, Move Strong

In this 4-class series, we’re looking at hip grinds beyond being just a “simple booty move.” This is about mastering hip isolation that strengthens your pelvic floor, improves body control, and feels incredible. Dismiss this move at your own risk – it’s a powerful tool that boosts fitness and mood but is also a staple of stripper style and many other dance forms.We’ll focus mainly on stripper styles of grinds, but you’ll walk away with skills you can use anywhere.


Leg Hang Switches
Wednesdays, June 24th – July 8th

Switching from Outside Leg Hang to Inside Leg Hang is a level goal for our Pole Level 4 students, but switching back from Inside Leg Hang to Outside Leg Hang often gets hurried through. But what about starting in your Inside Leg Hang and switching to your Outside Leg Hang? And then what about taking that to Tammy. What about Outside Leg Hang to Outside Leg Hang switching sides?
More complicated Leg Hang switches typically elicit a groan from students until switching is a fundamental part of a combo they’d like to learn, and then they stall out and have to backtrack. We’re going to break this cycle in this four week series.
Lyra Transitions
Thursdays, June 25th & July 2nd

How do we get from one pose to the next? In this class we’ll be drilling specific rolls, beginner drops, and other transitions to get from point A to point B on the lyra.
Prior lyra experience is required for this class. Prerequisites include familiarity with delilah, amazon, and cradle – but if you are interested in attending but unsure about specific poses, please feel free to check in with the instructor.
Accommodations will be provided wherever possible.


Bad Bish Fish Flop Shop

In this beginner friendly pole class we’ll learn how to use the pole as a dance partner while keeping both feet on the ground. We’ll cover hip circles, figure 8’s, and body waves to begin with, then we’ll string them together into customizable flows.
This class is perfect for those that want a dance-based introduction to pole, and for existing pole students that want to add some stripper style flow to their freestyles.


Stripper Style Night: Lap Dance Edition

You will be guided through a lap dance flow which is a base structure you can easily follow to tease your way closer to your target’s lap. Then move beyond their seat, navigating the space around your partner with optional transitions to the floor or a second chair. Bring a friend or be ready to pair up with a classmate.
Once the instruction is done, the vibe shifts. We keep the music loud and the lighting low to create a supportive, club like atmosphere. This is your time to take what you have learned and make it your own. Use the space to play, practice, and find your own flow.
Belly Dance Olympics
