Times are tough for everyone, and household budgeting is becoming more and more difficult, so we’re going to make it as easy as possible for you to be able to schedule and afford your classes at CED next year.

November is Ass Over Head Month!

Each month at Cleveland Eclectic Dance, we focus on a different skill, topic, style of dance, or body part in all of regular classes.  For November, we are focusing on getting you inverted. Whether this means work on your pole High V, Straddle Mount for Lyra, Handstand, or getting comfortable in Down Dog is up to you. We’ll be working with each student at their own level, and within their own comfort level, to achieve their goals.

No matter your goals, we are offering a couple of specialty classes to help you on your way.

Featured Classes for the Month


Inverted Crucifix Connections
Wednesdays, Nov 5th-19th 7:15-8:15pm

We’re going to make Inverted Crucifix our comfortable homebase and take it from there.

In this three week series we will work on getting into Inverted Crucifix various ways, safe dismounts, and connecting this fundamental move to other moves you already have (plus a few new ones!).

The goal for this series is for Inverted Crucifix to feel as comfortable as your Pole Sit does now. It will be where you come to reset yourself and connect different inverted moves.

Each week of this series builds upon the past, so you must be able to commit to all three classes. Please contact us if you will miss a week.

This class is suitable for pole students level 3 and up. Students must have either an Invert/High V, Reverse Handstand to Inverted Crucifix, or Shooting Star. No need to have all three; we’ll work on the two you don’t have during the series!

This class is $65 or 12 tokens for all three weeks, and is included on all Unlimited Passes.


Pole Assisted Inversions

Pole Assisted Inversions: ready to flip your world upside down?

Going head over heels can feel a little scary at first, but with the pole as your trusty sidekick, you’ll be building confidence in no time!

Join this special class to learn fun ways to use the pole (and the floor!) to support you as you lift that booty over your noggin.

Let’s get upside down and have a blast while doing it!

This class is open to pole students Level 3 and up.

This class is $21 or 4 tokens, and is included on all Unlimited Passes.


Look, Ma, No Hands: Sit to Layback
Tuesday, November 15th 8:00-9:00pm
In Studio Only

Let go of your ankle and the pole and lay back, but with caution, control, and confidence.

We start work on Straight Leg Sit during your first pole class, but it takes a while to train the sensitive skin of your inner thighs to want to support your body weight, particularly while inverted.

During this class we will explore Figure 4 Layback, Thigh Hang, Ankle Hang, Remi Layback, and Russian Layback. We’ll start out with the corresponding sits for each, discuss muscle engagement, strength training exercises, and how to transition from sit to layback.

This class is appropriate for pole students of all levels, not just Level 4 students that are already working on laybacks! Lisa’s goal is to give you a good foundation in your sits and get you training the weight shift for laybacks so that you master these moves quickly when they come up in your upper level pole classes.

This class is $21 or 4 tokens, and is included on all Unlimited Passes.


Handstand 101
Sunday, November 23rd 1:15-2:15pm

The first step to being able to achieve a handstand is to understand that you WILL do a handstand….after you have learned the tips and techniques for proper positioning.

Handstands are more than just flipping upside down. Learn all the mechanics. When you take this class, you will learn a variety of exercises at varying comfort levels to achieve proper positioning for a handstand. Even if you do not get a handstand on your first day (not that you are expected to) you will certainly get an amazing workout.

This class is $16 or 3 tokens, and is included on all Unlimited Passes..


More Specialty Classes & Series

Heels Haven: Heel Dance Choreography
Mondays, Nov 3rd – Dec 8th 5:45-6:45pm

Step into Heels Haven, a 6-week series dedicated to mastering one sultry choreography from start to finish. Each week, we’ll layer on new movement, refine transitions, and sharpen technique — building toward a polished, confident performance by the final class. 


Belly Dance Choreography
Mondays, Nov 3rd – Dec 8th 7:00-8:00pm
In Studio Only

We welcome all students with belly dance experience either from completing Belly Dance 101 at CED, or from training elsewhere, to learn a group belly dance choreography number!

This series will culminate in an opportunity to perform at our Winter Soiree on Sunday, December 14th.


Burlesque Choreography
Wednesdays, Nov 5th – Dec 10th 7:15-8:15pm

This year the Fall/Winter burlesque choreography class is getting sensual and strange with a folk horror inspired group number sure to make everybody scream.

We’ll be crafting costumes and casting spells as Erin teaches a group striptease number inspired by maypoles, Midsommar, and modern dance.


Lyra 101
Tuesdays, Nov 11th – Dec 2nd 6:00-7:00pm
In Studio Only

Lyra 101 is a 4-week series designed for the aerial-curious! This class is all about moving with and on the lyra – an aerial hoop rigged from the ceiling – and how that may differ from other activities such as pole.

Great for total beginners to dance and fitness, as well as those looking for a thorough review of basic lyra techniques, this workshop will adapt to meet students at their individual level.


Training for the Dark Side
Tuesday, December 2nd 6:45-7:45pm
In Studio Only

In this special Dark Side December class we will be identifying moves you need to master on your “Bad Side, “Opposite Side, AKA “Dark Side;” then we will learn the exercises you need to use to be able to master that move on both sides.
